Hi,

My name is Jon, and I own a company called Point and Click Consulting Services. I'm looking for IT Professionals to network with and possibly join a consortium of independent IT professionals - to share leads, possible assignments, etc.

    Have you considered using Linkedin.com? I've had some success with it for growing my circle of contacts.

    One of the problems with tribe, and a lot of other social networking sites, is they really do start out regionally.. Tribe is definately VERY san-francisco based, and slowly spreading to the rest of the world.. Starting out early is definately a cool thing, though..

    There are also a few IT based groups good for networking :

    USENIX
    SAGE
    ICCA

    Another great networking opportunity is a LINUX users group.. If there isn't one in minneapolis/st paul, start one..
